Sound Recording: Brown Thrasher: 10 minutes

Recorded on June 4, 2020 Recorded in Peabody Street, Duluth, MN

My Brown Thrasher is close to the microphone for this, but a House Wren comes in even closer after about 7 minutes. This was one of my dawn chorus recordings when I left the microphone outside unattended. I had it on my tree stump–the thrasher sings in a tree in the back of the yard, and the wren starts singing in the raspberry patch really close to where the microphone was, but then moves a little further away. This was the thrasher’s entire song bout, unedited. The bird in the photo was photographed a couple of weeks ago, but may be this singer.
