Laura Erickson’s For the Birds

This splendid member of the toucan family breeds from southern Mexico to South America. It mostly eats fruits in trees, but also eats insects, lizards, eggs, baby birds, and other small prey; my best photos were taken in Costa Rica at and near feeding stations offering fruits.
