Laura’s friend Susan and Laura’s birding dog Pip saw two great owls for the first time ever last Monday. Pip had more owl luck all week, and on Saturday, the day the USA Men’s Curling Team won their Gold Medal, Pip saw a Boreal Owl–the same species she saw the night the Cubs won the World Series. Coincidence?
