Recorded on Aug. 9, 2019 Recorded in Madera Canyon, Pima County, Arizona

This little guy was closer than it sounds—the photo is of this very bird. This includes two of its calls, and also two begging calls of a nearby Great Horned Owl fledgling. Our group managed to be very quiet during this recording because our trip leader, Laurens Halsey, told them he was recording. Made on my iPhone on a field trip with the Southeastern Arizona Birding Festival.
