Sound Recording: May 9 American Robin: entire pre-dawn song bout

Recorded on May 9, 2022 Recorded in Peabody Street, Duluth, MN

I set out my Zoom H6 with the shotgun microphone before I went to bed on May 8. There were no bird sounds at all from nearby until 3:42 am, May 9. This recording includes the robin’s very first sounds through when he stopped vocalizing, without cutting out anything. Changes in volume are due to the bird changing his orientation on a perch or moving to a different perch–the microphone didn’t move. I left in the two noisy cars that passed by. Fortunately, the garbage truck came a bit later than most Mondays. The bird in the photo is this singing individual, though the photo was taken a day later.
