Laura set up her recorder on Judy Bautch’s deck at 5:11 am on a Saturday morning; the yard seems wonderfully quiet, but is near a highway, the river with boat traffic, and railroad tracks. Laura reduced the low-frequency noise, but the traffic and a passing train made it too noisy beyond this 15-minute recording.
