Males, with the exuberant song, build stick nests in every cavity they can find. Females take their pick and build the actual nest behind the sticks. After the young fledge, one parent (often the female) moves on while the other (often the male) attends the young and attracts a new mate to one of his remaining cavities to rear more young.
